I heard I can receive non-face-to-face herbal medicine diet treatment in Busan. I'm curious about the specific process and how it works.
The non-face-to-face process consists of four main steps: 1) Online consultation to assess your health and goals, 2) Prescription of herbal medicine based on lifestyle and constitution, 3) Delivery of the prepared herbal medicine by courier, and 4) Regular online follow-ups to monitor progress and adjust the prescription. Necessary materials such as photos and questionnaires will be provided in advance, so you can start without any burden.
The process begins with a one-on-one online consultation, where I or a nurse conduct a brief medical interview via phone or video call, asking about your daily habits such as diet, digestion, sleep, and fatigue. For greater accuracy, we may request body composition analysis results or abdominal photos. Based on this information, we assess your TKM constitution and condition, such as Spleen Deficiency (脾虛, biheo), Phlegm-Dampness (痰飮, dameum), or Blood Stasis (瘀血, eohyeol). The first 1-2 weeks are an adaptation period; some patients experience improved digestion or relief from constipation. Around week 3-4, we hold another online follow-up to adjust the herbal prescription or lifestyle coaching according to your changes. Many patients report feeling lighter and having better appetite control from this point, though individual results vary. Over 2-3 months of consistent management, we compare periodic body composition results and photos. Despite being non-face-to-face, regular communication reduces the hassle of frequent hospital visits. In my experience, patients often find online consultations more comfortable and tend to stay consistent—ultimately, the key is steady communication between the medicine and the patient.
