Stress triggers binge eating because it causes liver qi stagnation (肝鬱), which blocks the smooth flow of qi and leads to emotional frustration and cravings. Depending on your constitution—especially if you have a phlegm (痰飮) or spleen deficiency (脾虛) pattern—binge eating can worsen bloating and fatigue.
