First-time patients must visit the clinic in person because the initial diagnosis requires pulse-taking and abdominal palpation, which are essential in TKM's four diagnostic methods. However, if you are a returning patient who has been treated here before, we can check your symptoms via phone or video consultation and prescribe herbal medicine. The medicine will be shipped to you, and you can freely ask questions by text or phone during the course of treatment.
As more people request non-face-to-face consultations, I have given this much thought. In TKM, accurate assessment of constitution and condition relies on directly identifying factors like 'Spleen deficiency' (spleen qi weakness) and 'Phlegm-fluid' (excess body fluid). Diet herbal medicine in particular approaches weight management not merely by suppressing appetite but by correcting internal imbalances, so pulse diagnosis and abdominal palpation are essential during the first visit. Therefore, new patients are kindly asked to come in person. For returning patients, the situation differs. Because we have records of their constitution and main symptoms, we can continue treatment by checking symptom changes over the phone or via video. For example, if a patient reports feeling more bloated than usual or that constipation has worsened, we can adjust the herbal formula accordingly. After prescribing, the medicine is shipped by courier, and if any side effects or questions arise during administration, patients are welcome to contact us anytime. Please note that under medical law, non-face-to-face consultations are only permitted for returning patients. If this is your first time, please feel free to visit for an initial consultation; afterwards, you can conveniently continue with remote consultations.
