I'm curious about my constitution. How can I find out what it is?

Determining your constitution requires more than just a questionnaire. At Baekrokdam, we provide a comprehensive diagnosis by analyzing your dietary habits, sleep patterns, and current physical state, specifically utilizing pulse diagnosis (Maek-jin) and medical interviewing to assess organ function and the accumulation of metabolic waste.
During my studies, I believed that constitutions could be categorized simply by following textbooks. However, clinical practice has shown that individual variables are far more complex. Therefore, we use a detailed checklist to analyze your constitution precisely: ✓ Pulse Diagnosis (Maek-jin): Checking the pulse at the wrist to determine the strength of organs and the flow of Qi. ✓ Tongue Diagnosis (Seol-jin): Examining the color, shape, and coating of the tongue to identify the presence of Blood Stasis (Eo-hyeol) or Phlegm-Fluid (Dam-eum). ✓ Medical Interview (Mun-jin): Assessing digestive health, bowel and bladder patterns, and perspiration levels to determine if there is Spleen Deficiency (Bi-heo). ✓ Body Type Analysis: Evaluating muscle mass, fat distribution, and the location of edema to match constitutional characteristics. Understanding your constitution is crucial because the 'right method' varies for everyone. For some, inducing perspiration is essential for circulation, while others may experience dizziness if they sweat too much due to a deficiency in Qi. I personally experienced the struggle of over-exercising while ignoring my own constitution, so I truly understand the importance of this approach. An accurate diagnosis must come first to ensure healthy weight loss without putting undue stress on your body. When you visit us, we will work together to find the most comfortable and effective path for you.
