Can I receive a non-face-to-face Korean Medicine diet consultation in Hanam?
If you are in the Hanam area, non-face-to-face consultation is possible. However, for first-time patients, it is recommended to have an in-person consultation first to accurately assess your constitution and health condition. For follow-up patients or those with stable chronic conditions, consultation and prescription via non-face-to-face methods are possible. Please contact us for detailed procedures.
Non-face-to-face consultation can be divided into two main cases. First, for first-time patients: In Korean Medicine, diagnosis relies heavily on pulse diagnosis (脈診), tongue diagnosis (舌診), and abdominal diagnosis (腹診) — direct observation and palpation are essential. Factors related to weight loss such as Spleen qi deficiency (脾虛), phlegm-rheum (痰飮), and blood stasis (瘀血) can be more accurately identified through in-person examination. Therefore, for first visits, we recommend coming to the clinic. After in-person consultation, we provide herbal medicine and lifestyle prescriptions tailored to your constitution and condition, and then follow-up can be done remotely. Second, for follow-up patients or those meeting certain criteria (e.g., stable condition, previous treatment at our clinic), non-face-to-face consultation is possible. Based on existing medical records, we adjust herbal medicine and provide dietary/exercise advice via video call lasting 15–20 minutes. The procedure is as follows: ① Book via phone or online → ② Confirm eligibility (check medications, recent health changes) → ③ Video consultation (discuss symptom changes, diet, stress, etc.) → ④ Prescribe herbal medicine if needed (non-face-to-face prescriptions may have some limitations, but most can be delivered by mail) → ⑤ Follow-up after 2–4 weeks. I initially thought non-face-to-face would be inconvenient, but patients are highly satisfied as it saves time and location constraints. However, I emphasize the importance of first in-person consultation because without accurate diagnosis, the effectiveness may be diminished. Feel free to ask any questions; I will help find the best method for your situation.
