Everyone has a different body constitution; are weight loss herbal medicines prescribed the same for everyone?

No, absolutely not. Prescriptions vary completely based on your unique constitution and current physical condition. The approach differs fundamentally depending on whether you have a high metabolic rate or are gaining weight due to a deficiency in energy. We provide personalized prescriptions after a thorough medical examination.

In Traditional Korean Medicine (TKM), we believe there is no such thing as a 'one-size-fits-all' remedy because every individual possesses a different innate constitution and a unique pattern of bodily imbalance. Depending on your condition, the prescription will change as follows: First, for those with high energy levels and a strong appetite: The focus is on clearing excessive internal heat and removing 'Dam-eum' (痰飮), which refers to metabolic waste or fluid accumulation in the body. This helps lighten the body and naturally regulate appetite. Second, for those who lack energy and fatigue easily: This is often viewed as 'Bi-heo' (脾虛), a state of deficiency in the Spleen/Digestive system. In this case, poor digestive and absorptive functions can lead to edema and weight gain. Simply suppressing appetite would further deplete the body, so we use medicinal herbs to boost energy and increase the basal metabolic rate first. Third, for those with high stress and frequent bloating: A prescription is needed to resolve 'Eo-hyeol' (瘀血), or blood stasis. Improving circulation is essential for smooth weight management. Ultimately, it is more important to understand 'what state my body is in' rather than 'which medicine is the best.' When you visit the clinic, I will carefully analyze your condition to determine the most comfortable and effective prescription for you.
