How can I decide whether a regular diet or a Korean-medicine diet suits me better?
A regular diet adjusts food and activity, while Korean-medicine care builds a plan around symptoms, lifestyle, and medical history. Neither method can be declared best for everyone in advance.
A regular diet adjusts intake and activity while tracking weight, waist circumference, and fitness. Raising the rate of loss too much can cause fatigue and rebound appetite.
Korean medicine may interpret digestive and energy decline as spleen qi deficiency (脾虛), swelling and heaviness as phlegm-fluid retention (痰飮), and circulation discomfort as blood stasis (瘀血). This does not guarantee constitutional improvement or weight loss.
Before choosing, review goals, eating habits, sleep, activity, conditions, and medicines. If herbal medicine or acupuncture is considered, ask about expected effects, adverse effects, and follow-up, and set realistic goals.
