What should I do if the Korean herbal medicine is bitter and my child refuses to take it?
Pediatric Korean herbal medicines are quite palatable these days. Flavors such as chocolate or strawberry are often added, or they are sweetened with oligosaccharides, so children readily drink them like juice. However, if a child still has difficulty taking it, we can prescribe a clear distilled herbal medicine.
약 먹이는 전쟁, 백록담에서는 없습니다.
- 시원하게: 약을 차게 해서 먹이면 쓴맛을 덜 느낍니다.
- 빨대: 빨대로 혀 안쪽(쓴맛 느끼는 부위)을 피해 목구멍 쪽으로 바로 넘기게 하세요.
- 칭찬: 다 먹으면 사탕을 주거나 폭풍 칭찬을 해주는 보상이 필요합니다.
💡 섞어 먹이기
너무 안 먹으면 주스나 요구르트, 꿀물에 타서 먹여도 효과에는 지장 없습니다. 먹이는 게 중요합니다.
