Already have an account? <a href="/login?redirect=/">Sign in</a> <br><br> <b>Let's learn more about the ovarian age test and AMH test.</b> <br><br> The ovarian age test, or AMH test, is a test that identifies the number of ovarian reserve follicles remaining in the ovaries of women of reproductive age, helping to predict a woman's <b>ovarian function and ovarian age</b>. <br><br> AMH is an abbreviation for Anti-Müllerian Hormone, a hormone secreted by small follicles in a woman's ovaries. <br><br> The number of follicles <b>is already determined at birth</b> and gradually decreases with age. <br><br> Therefore, AMH levels reflect the number of remaining follicles in the ovaries, allowing for indirect prediction of <b>functional ovarian age</b>. <br><br> If AMH levels are high, it means many follicles remain in the ovaries; if AMH levels are low, it means fewer follicles remain. <br><br> However, <b>AMH levels alone cannot accurately diagnose ovarian age.</b> <br><br> AMH levels indicate the number of ovarian reserve follicles but do not indicate egg quality. <br><br> Furthermore, AMH levels can fluctuate with the menstrual cycle and are not an essential factor for pregnancy. <br><br> Therefore, ovarian age test results must be interpreted by comprehensively considering other test results and clinical information.
