Why might I not lose weight even when I exercise according to a workout calorie calculator?
A workout calorie calculator provides an average estimate and may differ from actual expenditure. Review eating, sleep, activity, and weight trends together rather than chasing a number, and reduce intensity if fatigue or pain occurs.
The calculator estimates expenditure from the exercise type, body weight, and entered values; it does not guarantee actual energy use. Also record whether you eat more after exercise or move less during the rest of the day to narrow down reasons for weight change.
Korean medicine may interpret poor digestion and low energy through spleen qi deficiency (脾虛), heaviness and swelling through phlegm-fluid retention (痰飮), and circulation discomfort through blood stasis (瘀血). These are clinical frameworks, not a direct way to measure metabolic rate.
Check weight and waist circumference periodically under consistent conditions, and do not exercise excessively to match the calculator. If persistent fatigue, dizziness, pain, or weight gain occurs, obtain appropriate assessment and adjust the plan.
