Is Hwabyung different from anxiety disorder?
They are similar, yet distinct. While anxiety disorder stems from "worry about the future," Hwabyung is caused by "past feelings of unfairness and anger." Hwabyung is characterized by more pronounced physical symptoms like chest pain and a sensation of heat. Both, however, involve a disrupted balance of the autonomic nervous system.
