Will I lose weight well if I work hard on a treadmill? I want to know an effective way to exercise.
Spending a long time on a treadmill alone does not guarantee weight loss. Check your fitness and recovery, and adjust walking, strength training, food, and sleep together for a more efficient approach.
Exercise effects should be considered with total activity, eating, and recovery, not treadmill time alone. If your body feels well and there is no pain, you can mix brisk walking with short periods of running; if you have knee pain or fatigue, reduce speed and time.
Korean-medicine consultation may assess edema and heaviness through phlegm-fluid retention, reduced digestion and energy through pi deficiency, and a sense of slow circulation through blood stasis. Depending on your state, strength training and sleep and food adjustment may be recommended before aerobic exercise.
Start at an intensity that allows conversation, check whether you recover by the next day, and adjust weekly. If a knee swells or pain persists, obtain an appropriate assessment, such as orthopedics, and change the plan rather than forcing yourself to exercise.
