How can I approach a diet that eats only one food, such as a chocolate diet, in a healthier way from a Korean-medicine perspective?

A diet dependent on one food, such as chocolate, risks nutritional imbalance and is hard to sustain, so shift to a plan with varied foods. Design the maintenance diet for after restrictions are lifted as well to reduce regain.

Eating only a particular food can leave you short of protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals, and may lead to overeating and weight regain after the restriction ends. Fit vegetables, appropriate protein, whole grains, and healthy fats to your individual calorie goal.

If you have diabetes, kidney disease, allergies, or another underlying condition, or plan rapid loss, consult a clinician before starting. Even in Korean-medicine counseling, the principle is to review the whole diet and body condition rather than assert a particular food’s effects.

Enjoying a small amount of chocolate is different from replacing meals with it. If planning a meal replacement, check its nutritional composition and duration of use first.
