When does the first period start after childbirth?
It depends on whether you are breastfeeding. For exclusive breastfeeding, it typically resumes 6 months to 1 year later. For formula feeding, it typically resumes 2 to 3 months later. If it has not returned for over a year, a medical examination is necessary.
