My weight loss has suddenly stalled. What should I watch out for, and are there any dangerous things I should avoid?
Do not drastically cut your food or suddenly increase exercise just because you have hit a plateau. Review weight changes together with eating, sleep, and activity, and seek care if unusual symptoms appear.
A brief pause in weight change does not necessarily mean that body fat has increased. Excessively reducing food or abruptly raising exercise intensity can lead to fatigue, binge eating, or loss of muscle, so review your recent routine first.
In Korean-medicine care, reduced digestion and fatigue may be interpreted through pi deficiency, edema and heaviness through phlegm-fluid retention, and circulation discomfort through blood stasis. These are frameworks for assessing your current state, not a diagnosis that establishes one cause for a weight plateau.
If you have dizziness, marked lack of energy, or palpitations, or if there is no change despite adjusting food and exercise, avoid adding supplements recklessly and consult a clinician. Then reset the intensity and eating plan at a sustainable level.
