My child keeps blinking and sniffing (Tic disorder).

Tics are not intentional actions by the child, but rather occur involuntarily due to overactivity in the brain's basal ganglia. Scolding them with "Stop that!" will only increase their tension and worsen the tics. Instead, it's best to ignore them and help the child achieve stability with remedies that calm the brain, such as Yokukansan (抑肝散).

  • 양상: 눈 깜빡임 → 코 찡긋 → 얼굴 씰룩 → 소리(음성 틱) 순서로 진행되는 경우가 많습니다.
  • 악화: 스마트폰, TV 등 시각적 자극은 틱을 폭발시킵니다. 최대한 줄여주세요.
  • 치료: 초기 1년이 골든타임입니다. 만성 틱(뚜렛)으로 가기 전에 잡아야 합니다.

부모가 틱 증상에 예민하게 반응할수록 아이는 불안해져 증상이 심해집니다. 못 본 척 연기해주세요.
