I keep eating only chicken breast for dieting. How would a Korean-medicine clinic structure my diet?
Chicken breast is a protein source, but instead of repeating one food, build meals that include vegetables, carbohydrates, and fat. Adjust each portion based on fullness and activity level.
Eating only chicken breast can provide protein but may leave you short of fiber, some vitamins and minerals, and appropriate carbohydrate and fat. Include vegetables, a moderate carbohydrate, and protein at each meal, plus as much fat as needed from foods such as nuts or cooking oil.
Amounts vary with your weight goal, activity, allergies, and whether you have kidney or liver disease. Adjusting from food records and weight changes can reduce excessive restriction and repeated giving up.
Watch for constipation, diarrhea, or fatigue after changing your diet. If you also exercise, adjust the amount of food needed for recovery as well.
