I eat out very often because of work. How can I maintain my diet in that situation?
Frequent dining out does not require changing every meal perfectly. When you can choose, select minimally processed protein and vegetables; when choices are limited, adjust portions and eating order to create a sustainable standard.
When you can choose a menu, such as at lunch, prioritize foods whose ingredients are easy to identify, such as grilled dishes, wraps, or soup, and adjust the amount of rice and sauce. If raw vegetables feel heavy, choose cooked vegetables to suit your digestion.
When choices are limited at a group meal, eat vegetables and protein first, and set portions for fried foods, sweet drinks, and excessive carbohydrates while eating slowly. Avoid fasting for one meal and then bingeing at the next outing; return to your usual meals at the next meal.
If edema and heaviness recur after irregular meals out, Korean medicine may assess the state through phlegm-fluid retention or blood stasis. If symptoms persist, bring eating records and digestive symptoms for consultation rather than imposing more food restrictions.
